Teen Driving Course
South Carolina Teen Drivers Education Course
Student must have SC beginner’s permit prior to scheduling class. Call Maverick Driving Academy at 864-908-7015 to register for a SC beginner’s permit review session and take a written test.
Teen Drivers Education Course consists of one 8-hour classroom training, combined with 6-hours behind the wheel driving lessons. Students will be active participants in all phases of the training, learning to drive safely both offensively and defensively.
Students will learn:
- Inclement Driving Conditions
- Effects of Impaired Driving
- Safe Follow Distances
- Traffic Control Devices
- Parallel Parking
- Various Driving Tasks
Parents can feel confident that they have selected a driver training program that will teach their teenagers extensive driver training, procedures and safety that will last a lifetime.

8:30-9:00 – Welcome & Course Review
9:00-9:30 – Pre-Test / Driving Discussion (Danger & Responsibilites of Driving)
9:30-9:40 – Break
9:40-10:30 – Becoming Familiar with a Vehicle
10:30-11:30 – Part One: First 500 Miles (DVD & Discussion)
11:30-11:45 – Break
11:45-12:50 – Highway Traffic Signs & Roadway markings
12:50-1:00 – Break
1:00-1:30 – Parts Two & Three: First 500 Miles (DVD & Discussion)
1:30-2:00 – Practice Written Test & Scoring
2:00-3:00 – Hazardous Conditions Driving / Emergency Situations
3:00-3:10 – Break
3:10-4:30 – Rules of the Road (DVD & Discussion)
